Midnight Wine Weigela features showy clusters of rose trumpet-shaped flowers with buttery yellow anthers along the branches in late spring. It has attractive deep purple foliage throughout the season. The pointy leaves are highly ornamental and turn an outstanding burgundy in the fall. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.
